Aeroplex of Central Europe, the largest aircraft maintenance company in the region, is constructing a new 7,000 square-meter Component Repair Plant. With the nearly five million euro project, Aeroplex will become a dominant player in the regional MRO component repair segment. The plant will be handed over in the spring of 2024 near the Liszt Ferenc International Airport.
Wheels and brakes, engine hardware repair, composite structure repair – these are just some of the jobs that will be carried out at Aeroplex Ltd’s new 7,000 square metre Central European Component Maintenance Plant, the construction of which was announced today at the largest European event for the aircraft maintenance industry, the MRO Europe exhibition in Amsterdam. The dedicated plant will be used to fulfil orders from all over the world.
Aeroplex’s new plant enables the maintenance of tens of thousands of aircraft wheels annually, potentially making the Hungarian company a direct supplier to the largest international aircraft operators. Orders for engine component repairs have seen a significant increase in recent years, and Aeroplex will expand this activity at their new location. Hungarian experts will also perform repairs on various aircraft components, such as flap, slat and radome, in the composite structure repair unit.
In addition to comprehensive maintenance work, the facility will house other functions, including painting, shot blasting, non-destructive testing, and logistics.

Aeroplex’s new Central European Component Repair Center enables us to take a significant step forward in both quantity and quality in the field of aircraft equipment maintenance and positions us at the forefront of Europe’s aviation industry in another segment,” said Árpád Demény, CEO of Aeroplex Kft.
The total cost of the investment is approaching five million euros, including the development of the facility and the procurement of a completely new semi-automatic and automatic machinery. The entire project is financed by Aeroplex. The new component repair facility is scheduled to commence operations in the spring of 2024, creating 120 new jobs.
