The renewed, long-term line maintenance service agreement between Aeroplex and Wizz Air will take effect at the end of February 2026. The agreement covers a significant portion of traffic at Budapest Airport, where Wizz Air operates one of its largest bases. As part of the preparations for the start of the contract, Aeroplex is looking to strengthen its Line Maintenance team with experienced aircraft maintenance professionals.
Line maintenance is a critical element of airlines’ day-to-day operations. The work is carried out every day of the year, under varying conditions, often within tight timeframes, with a direct impact on flight safety and on-time departures. These tasks require well-prepared and experienced mechanics and avionics who are able to take on responsibility even under sustained operational pressure.

Including its work for Wizz Air, Aeroplex’s Line Maintenance team currently provides technical support for approximately 80% of aircraft movements at Budapest Airport. While this activity largely takes place behind the scenes, it is a fundamental prerequisite for safe and reliable air transport.
The renewed cooperation with Wizz Air further increases the importance of this area. Aeroplex’s objective is to strengthen existing professional expertise and expand capabilities in line with the entry into force of the new agreement.
Aeroplex colleagues work on a wide range of aircraft types – from Airbus A320 family to Boeing 747 – under specific airline assignments. Their tasks include routine maintenance activities, special inspections such as borescope checks, as well as duties requiring individual qualifications or certifications.

This professional responsibility is also reflected in the compensation structure. In addition to base salary, Aeroplex provides various allowances for experienced technicians, linked to type ratings, special tasks – such as towing or specific inspections – and acquired professional qualifications. The aim is to ensure that responsibility and professional competence are proportionately recognised in remuneration. In line with this approach, Aeroplex will continue expanding its benefits offering in 2026.
Aeroplex welcomes applications from Line Maintenance CRS (B1/B2) professionals who are familiar with the demands of the airport environment and are open to continuously expanding their professional knowledge and qualifications over the long term. Further information on open Line Maintenance positions and application requirements is available on Aeroplex’s Career Page.
