Aeroplex Officially Opens New Component Repair Center

The Aeroplex Component Repair Center, a state-of-the-art 7,300-square-meter facility in Maglód, has officially opened its doors today. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Márton Nagy, Minister for National Economy of Hungary, who highlighted the significance of this investment for the advancement of Hungary’s aviation industry in his keynote speech.

The new center provides world-class services in three key areas: aircraft wheels and brakes repair, engine parts repair, and composite structure repair. Representing an investment of nearly 2 billion Hungarian forints, the facility not only expands Aeroplex’s capacity for aircraft component repair but also introduces cutting-edge technological solutions. Initially employing 40 people, the center is expected to create more than 100 new jobs in the coming years.

In his opening speech, Minister Márton Nagy emphasized that the new Aeroplex Component Repair Center exemplifies how a Hungarian company can drive regional aviation industry growth and emerge as a global player.

The facility is designed to handle up to 20,000 wheels and 800 brakes annually. Its engine hardware repair shop has the capacity to process nearly 30,000 parts per year, while the composite structure repair shop can maintain and repair close to 1,000 structural elements annually, including flaps, slats, and radome. Supporting functions such as shot blasting, painting, and non-destructive testing are also housed within the new facility, alongside a comprehensive logistics system to ensure smooth handling and transportation of the components.

Equipped with modern automated and semi-automated systems, the center ensures fast turnaround times while enhancing the precision and quality of repair processes. With these advancements, Aeroplex is well-positioned to meet the highest standards of the international aviation industry.

Minister Márton Nagy also highlighted the growing global demand for reliable providers of aircraft maintenance and component repair services that guarantee both high quality and consistent reliability. Aeroplex stands out as an exemplary provider in this field.

Árpád Demény, Managing Director of Aeroplex Ltd., remarked during the opening ceremony that the new Component Repair Center not only increases capacity but also sets a new benchmark for quality and technological excellence. “This dedicated facility enables us to offer faster and more reliable solutions to our customers,” he said. “This investment solidifies our position as a regional market leader while opening doors to new clients and markets.”
