Aeroplex specialists recently carried out a special structural repair task on an Airbus A320 aircraft.
Approximately 8 meters of fuselage skin panel under the cockpit and around the nose gear bay needed to be replaced.
This structural element, weighing around 200 kilograms, requires a time-consuming replacement process that matches the manufacturer’s technology and meets the same quality standards. Only a few aircraft maintenance companies worldwide undertake such replacements. The new structural component was secured in place using approximately 5000 rivets and specialized aerospace fasteners.
